HELP CPHS CARRY ON ITS MISSION!

Dear Friends, Allies and Partners,

It is time again to show your support for the Commission on the Public's Health System, and celebrate with us another year of carrying on the fight for health equality. We invite you to attend our Gala, on Thursday April 18th, 2013. See attached invitation and directions here.
Every year CPHS honors individuals and organizations that are committed to the principles and vision that we support. This year we are honoring:

Jackie Rowe Adams,
President Local 299, DC 37 and Chair of Renaissance Community Advisory Board for her leadership in the labor movement and her community activism in efforts like Harlem Mother Save, seeking to prevent gun violence and the social causes and cost.

Damaris Reyes,
Executive Director and her staff, Good Old Lower East Side for their tireless activism and organizing around recovery efforts during the aftermath of Storm Sandy.

Hon. Velmanette Montgomery,
New York State Senate 25th District for her steadfast commitment and involvement in addressing the health crisis in Central Brooklyn and her on-going support to fund school-based health centers.

Judy Wessler,
Former Director, CPHS for her dedication and commitment as a public health advocate and her leadership of CPHS. Don't miss the opportunity to thank Judy and wish her well in her next endeavors.

For 22 years, CPHS has fought for equal access to quality health care for everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, language spoken, diagnosis, or the ability to pay. CPHS has made a real and lasting difference in the lives of New Yorkers. But, the advances and improvements in access to health care are being dangerously compromised by threatened budget cuts, potential loss of vital health services and policies that negatively impact the delivery of public health service.

That is why we need your help to ensure we can carry on the fight. You can help by giving a donation and/or by attending our gala on April 18th, 2013. You can also submit an ad for our e-journal.

Respectfully yours,
Anthony Feliciano
Director, CPHS.
