BE A PART OF AN EXCITING CHILD HEALTH PROJECT

In Spring 2007, CPHS organized a group of organizations to plan an exciting year-long project to honor the 100th Anniversary of New York City's Child Health Clinics. This initiative is in progress and the goals are:
• To recognize and celebrate the Child Health Clinics as an important model of preventive and primary health care for children and youth
• To Ensure children and youth have health insurance and a medical home for primary care
• To develop a survey of parents and youth; and a Child/Teen/Family Health Policy Agenda that will address the health care needs of New York City children and reflect the diversity of the city.

The goals will be accomplished through organizing events and mobilizing groups in each borough. An organization in each borough has been chosen to be the Borough Coordinator. Their task is to organize and lead a coalition of individuals and organizations representative of the diversity in that borough. For a listing of the Borough Coordinators see below.

The 100 years- Child Health Planning Committee, the Borough Coordinators Committee, and the Policy Committee are actively involved in all these efforts. To find out more about our efforts and how to get involved see below.
